Name: Romas Valaitis
Location: Panevėžys
Caving club: Aenigma
Main information:
Romas became acquainted with speleology in 1983–1984. He participated in many expeditions and leaded some groups – it is impossible to remember everything. The most difficult and impressive descents were in the cave Soldatskaya (Crimea, Ukraine): he had descended until “The Squeeze” (about -240 m) for five times. All the five times on the way up the lighting systems had gone out of order (even the lights borrowed by friends) and the journey out of the cave was finished in the dark. :)
