The Lithuanian technical diving club, curious about divings of A. Aksionov into The Greenish Spring (Žalsvasis šaltinis) when he reached the depth of 16 m and found two underwater chambers, took the challenge of this underwater cave also. The Greenish Spring is a completely underwater cave – spring and it is the deepest cave in Lithuania. This summer the divers of the Lithuanian technical diving club made a series of divings into The Spring, explored it in more detail and reached the depth of 20 m. The diving is very difficult because of the quick turbidity of the water and falling rocks. The Greenish Spring still hasn’t given up all of its secrets yet and, as the divers say themselves, there are a lot of questions left.
On this occasion we renewed our site’s section about Lithuanian karst phenomena: the description about The Greenish Spring and its explorations was renewed and the new scheme of the cave was placed.
