On August 2-11 the international and already traditional speleo camp Aranoñera 2008 took place in Spain, the Pyrenees Mountains. During this camp the Lithuanian team discovered and did topography of about 400 m of new passages in the cave S7.
The participants of this year camp:
3 Catalans, the hosts of the camp (Barcelona)
2 Spanish (Madrid)
5 Lithuanians (Vilnius, Aenigma)
8 Hungarians (Budapest).
The camp is organized by Espeleo Club de Gracia of Barcelona that explores the Aranoñera cave system for about 30 years. The leader of the club is inexhaustible Jordi Borras.
Main tasks of the camp were:
- Further exploration of S1 passage (line of Budapest, in the depth of 1 km), search for the passage to the West.
- Further exploration of the cave S7.
- Search for the entrance to the undiscovered cave system in the watershed of the river Gallegue, check the meander in the cave Ula and do the topography.
- Search for the new caves in the districts S33, S34.
